About Us - Ragdolls
Ragdolls are a unique breed of long haired cat. They have a special double layered coat, which requires minimal grooming compared to a persian, but they usually love being brushed! Ragdolls are generally white with feature
colours and beautiful pale blue eyes. They may be colourpoint (which means they have coloured faces), or bi-colour (have a white blaze on the nose) or tabby. A key characteristic of the Ragdoll is to flop, or go limp in your arms (hence the name Ragdoll). They are very placid and can sit like that for hours! Ragdolls are very affectionate cats, and thus need a lot of attention. They are ideally suited to live inside (so make great apartment cats!) as they have little fear of anything, and given their friendly natures, they assume all other cats and dogs are friendly too! They are not big wanderers though, so will seldomly wander far from home.
I believe you need a lot of time to own a Ragdoll. They will adapt well to other cats, and will enjoy the company if you are not always around. If you are seeking a beautiful cat who will love you unconditionally, and you have time to return that love, then a Ragdoll could be the perfect cat for you.
